Before application, surfaces should be clean, dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of materials. Any cracks or small defects in masonry surface should be filled with a suitable masonry filler and matched to existing surface.
If applying over an already previously coated surface, again ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and free from anything that will interfere with the overall adhesion. Remove all loose or suspect material by scraping or brushing with a stiff bristle brush. Stabilise all bare, filled and previously decorated chalking areas with an application of Sandtex Trade Stabilising Solution.

Before application ensure that product has been stirred well before use, and applied with good quality tools - synthetic brush, medium or long pile roller depending on surface texture, or by airless spray. When applying through sprayer, it is always advised reading and following the spray manufacturer’s guidelines closely. Ensure the previous coat is fully dry before further application.

If maintenance is required, surfaces may be washed with a warm water and liquid detergent solution to remove surface dirt prior to application.
