At DCO we recommend using a professional quality paint brush cleaning product to increase the longevity of your brushes. Effectively cleaning your brushes is a way of saving money and time.

If you have invested in more expensive paint brushes you will want to look after them. We stock a range of cleaner for paint brushes which allow you to keep reusing them time after time.

A high quality brush cleaner like Pretty Boy Paint Cleaner & Conditioner or Zinsser Brush Cleaner & Restorer can quickly clean all the excess paint from your brushes with little effort.

We also offer tools such as the Axus Spinner Cleaner or the Purdy Brush/Roller Cleaner. These both have a multitude of uses other than just for cleaning brushes.

Using a quality and professional paint brush cleaner can help to extend the life of your brushes whilst also helping to prolong their performance.

• Water-based paints (like acrylics or latex): Use water or a mild soap and water solution. Pretty Boy paint cleaner & conditioner is a great paint brush cleaner for water based paints.
• Solvent Based Paints: Use a solvent-based cleaner such as mineral spirits, turpentine, or a commercial paint brush cleaners such as Bartoline Turpentine Substitute or Zinsser BIN Brush Cleaner & Restorer.

To remove paint from your brush, simply pour a small amount of paint brush cleaner into the container, followed by dipping the brush into the cleaner and gently swirling it around. To ensure stubborn paint has been removed simply work the bristles against the side of the container to loosen the paint.
