Do I need to prime tiles before painting?

Typically we would advise you to prime your tiles before painting to promote adhesion. However, every product is different and some do not require priming so it always best to read the directions from the manufacturers on this one.

Glossy, high sheen tiles are often incredibly hard to paint without a primer and the paint needs something to grip to. If using the Tikkurila Luja paint we'd recommend applying the Luja Primer prior to painting.
