Preparation

Before full application can begin, ensure that your chosen wooden surface is both clean and dry and all surface dust has been removed.
For optimum performance it is recommended that all previous finishes are removed to expose clean and bare wood by sanding or through the use of other suitable product removers. Any small cracks or large joints must be filled then sanded down to achieve an ultra smooth finish.

Application

For optimum results, it is always advised that you test a surface before painting to be sure of the overall finish and drying time. Osmo Polyx-Oil Tints are ready to use and do not require any further thinning, stir thoroughly before use and make sure that there is good ventilation to ensure proper drying.
Osmo Polyx-Oil requires a thin and even layer to be applied to the wood grain with a fine bristle brush. In most cases drying times can last up to 8-10 hours with good ventilation, once the surface has fully dried, lightly denib the surface and repeat the above for a second coat.
It is recommended that you allow up to 24 hours before exposing the floor to normal use again.

Care

For daily maintenance of Osmo Polyx oil tints treatments, a duster, mop or vacuum cleaner will be sufficient.
For more regular cleaning, we recommend using Osmo Wash & Care.

We have a range of delivery options to ensure you receive your DCO order when you need it. Our super quick standard delivery option delivers within two working days but can often arrive sooner! We use DPD to ship items from our warehouse so you will be kept up to date with delivery time scales and you can also leave safe place requests if you won't be available for the delivery.

If any part of your order is temporarily out of stock and dispatch is anticipated to be delayed at all, we will contact you by e-mail to notify you of the new anticipated delivery date. If possible we will split your order so you receive goods in stock in a timely manner. Larger orders may be separated into multiple consignments by DPD but these will all be delivered by your estimated delivery date.
