Preparation

Before application, ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust. New or previously oiled worktops can be sanded prior to applying rapid oil if required, existing paint or varnishes must be removed back to bare wood prior to applying oil.
Any small cracks or large joints must be filled and then sanded down carefully to achieve an ultra smooth finish.
Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a broom or vacuum.

Application

It is always advised that you test a surface before painting to be sure of the overall finish and drying time. Osmo Polyx oil rapid is ready to use, however it must be stirred thoroughly before use.
Apply a thin and even layer along the wood grain ideally with a floor brush and spread across the surface well for up to 15 minutes before wiping away any excess oil.
Drying times generally take up to 4-5 hours and require good ventilation. Once dried, lightly denib the surface and repeat the above process for a second coat.

Care

For daily everyday maintenance a duster, mop or vacuum cleaner is sufficient. For more regular cleaning, we recommend using Osmo wash and care.

We have a range of delivery options to ensure you receive your DCO order when you need it. Our super quick standard delivery option delivers within two working days but can often arrive sooner! We use DPD to ship items from our warehouse so you will be kept up to date with delivery time scales and you can also leave safe place requests if you won't be available for the delivery.

If possible we will split your order so you receive goods in stock in a timely manner.
