      Preparation

      To get the best results, ensure your chosen surfaces are sound, clean and dry before application.
      To begin, remove all loose coatings and if necessary strip back to the original bare wood. It's also important to note, if any areas of your wooden surface are affected with mould or algae growth, that these are treated beforehand with a suitable mould and mildew cleaner. Apply 1 or 2 coats of an appropriate knotting solution to treat any remaining knots in wood and then follow this up with treating any surface defeats with a wood filler.
      For optimum results prime your chosen exterior surface with Dulux Trade Weathershield Preservative Primer.

      Application

      Before full application of Dulux Weathershield Exterior Undercoat we always recommend testing out a small area on your chosen surface to ensure you are happy with the products overall adhesion and finish.
      This product is suitable for brush application only and does not require any thinning beforehand. It's also important to remember that this product should NOT be applied in temperatures below 10°C or when there is likely to be rain or fog. To begin, stir the undercoat paint thoroughly before use and apply 2 full coats of Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Undercoat.

      Care

      Once the Dulux Trade Weathershield Exterior Undercoat has fully dried it can then be overcoated with Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Gloss or Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Satin.

      Delivery

      We have a range of delivery options to ensure you receive your DCO order when you need it. Our super quick standard delivery option delivers within two working days but can often arrive sooner! We use DPD to ship items from our warehouse so you will be kept up to date with delivery time scales and you can also leave safe place requests if you won't be available for the delivery.

      Standard Delivery £5.95 (Free on orders over £60) Arrives in approximately 2 working days when ordered before 2pm (excludes bank holidays). Estimated date provided at checkout.
      Next Day Delivery (delivers between 8am-8pm) £7.99 (Free on orders over £100) Available on all orders placed before 2pm. Orders placed after 2pm on a Thursday will have a delivery date of the following Monday. Orders placed after 2pm Friday will be processed Monday and will have a delivery date of Tuesday.
      Next Day Before 12 £12.99 Available on orders placed before 2pm. Orders placed after 2pm on a Thursday will have a delivery date of the following Monday. Orders placed after 2pm Friday will be processed Monday and will have a delivery date of Tuesday.

      Wallpaper Samples £0.99 Select 'Sample delivery' at checkout. Our team will ship orders same day for orders before 2pm, and they are dispatched on a 2 day delivery service. Please note tracking is not available on sample delivery service.

      If any part of your order is temporarily out of stock and dispatch is anticipated to be delayed at all, we will contact you by e-mail to notify you of the new anticipated delivery date. If possible we will split your order so you receive goods in stock in a timely manner. Larger orders may be separated into multiple consignments by DPD but these will all be delivered by your estimated delivery date.
