      Preparation

      To achieve the best results, ensure that all surfaces to be painted are clean and dry prior to application.
      If there are any loose surface coatings, it is advised that these are stripped back to the bare wood before painting and any mould or algae is treated with a suitable mould cleaner. Any surface defects should be filled with a suitable exterior wood filler. If treating bare wood, it is important to prime with 2 coats of Dulux Trade Weathershield Preservative Primer followed by 1 coat of Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Undercoat.
      Allow 3 hours for your wooden surface to dry before applying an overcoat.

      Application

      Before full application of Dulux Weathershield Exterior Gloss we always recommend testing out a small area on your chosen surface to ensure you are happy with the products overall adhesion and finish.
      This product is for brush application only and should not be applied in temperatures below 10°C, or when there is likely to be rain or frost.
      Before application, make sure to stir the product thoroughly, and once stirred apply 2 coats of Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior paint, if a strong colour change is required, additional coats will be needed. It is advised that 4 hours are left between each coat to achieve optimum results.

      Care

      Dulux Weathershield Gloss has been designed to protect surfaces against all weather conditions for up to 6 years. If after that time, it is noticeable that the original coat is starting to fade or wear, then simply apply another coat following the steps given in the preparation and application sections above.

      We have a range of delivery options to ensure you receive your DCO order when you need it. Our super quick standard delivery option delivers within two working days but can often arrive sooner! We use DPD to ship items from our warehouse so you will be kept up to date with delivery time scales and you can also leave safe place requests if you won't be available for the delivery.

      Standard Delivery £5.95 (Free on orders over £60) Arrives in approximately 2 working days when ordered before 2pm (excludes bank holidays). Estimated date provided at checkout.
      Next Day Delivery (delivers between 8am-8pm) £7.99 (Free on orders over £100) Available on all orders placed before 2pm.       Wallpaper Samples £0.99 Select 'Sample delivery' at checkout. Our team will ship orders same day for orders before 2pm, and they are dispatched on a 2 day delivery service. Please note tracking is not available on sample delivery service.

      If any part of your order is temporarily out of stock and dispatch is anticipated to be delayed at all, we will contact you by e-mail to notify you of the new anticipated delivery date. If possible we will split your order so you receive goods in stock in a timely manner. Larger orders may be separated into multiple consignments by DPD but these will all be delivered by your estimated delivery date.
