First up…Bedroom!

Josette

We couldn’t talk about bedroom wallpaper inspiration without mentioning the iconic Josette! This traditional damask wallpaper is beautifully elegant with a French style to add instant glamour to your walls without being overpowering.

Part of Laura Ashley’s ‘Romantic Opulence’ collection, this ornate and elegant damask design features glamorous chandeliers and rose bouquets making it a perfect choice for a calming bedroom retreat! Added bonus, its available in a number of colour ways making it suitable for pretty much any colour scheme you’re wanting to achieve!

Paint Pairing Tip: For a serene and cohesive look, pair the Dove Grey Josette with Pale Dove Grey, Dove Grey, or Dove Grey White. If you’re using the Duck Egg colourway, consider Dove Grey White, Pale Duck Egg, or Dark Duck Egg for a soft, complementary backdrop.

Belvedere

Another instantly recognisable print from Laura Ashley’s archives is the Belvedere peacock wallpaper. Belvedere is part of the ‘Timeless Elegance’ collection by Laura Ashley and we can see why. Designed to create a dramatic and regal look with a nod to tradition whilst still feeling contemporary, the Belvedere peacock features an all over flower adorned branch design with beautiful hummingbirds and statement peacocks. Once again it's available in a gorgeous selection of colour ways to suit any colour scheme but I must admit, the midnight is my favourite and the one I would be tempted to lean towards in a bedroom!

Paint Pairing Tip: Pair Midnight Belvedere with Dark Seaspray for a cohesive deep blue theme, or balance it out with a lighter shade like Pale Duck Egg or Sugared Grey if you’re looking to soften the space. For the Soft Truffle Belvedere variant, pair it with Ivory, Pale Duck Egg, or Soft Truffle.

Parterre

Parterre could lend itself to so many rooms of your home with its gorgeous vintage floral style but I’m going to fly the flag here for a bedroom setting! The allover floral and leaf design gives the appearance of a loose trellis without feeling overpowering. The beautiful print is giving me hand painted watercolour vibes and would make a fantastic feature wall or would pair well with panelling! I love the sage green colourway choice for a bedroom as green has calming and restorative properties making it a great choice for where you start and finish a busy day!

Paint Pairing Tip: Complement the Sage Green Parterre with Sage Leaf or Powder Grey for a monochromatic, serene environment, or contrast it with Fern to add depth to the room. For the Dark Seaspray variant, pair it with Dark Seaspray, Dusky Seaspray, or Sugared Grey White.

So we’ve covered some bedroom choices, let's move onto the Living Room!

Magnolia Grove

The Laura Ashley Magnolia Grove wallpaper provides the epitome of country charm in a wallpaper design! Fresh spring blossoms of the gorgeous magnolia flower will be a timeless design that you won’t tire of. The gorgeous print, especially in the natural colourway will help to brighten your living room and will pair beautifully with natural textures such as rattan and wicker with natural wood flooring to delivery a bright and airy space!

Paint Pairing Tip: For a soft, natural ambiance, pair the Slate Magnolia Grove with Dark Sugared Grey. Alternatively, use Sugared Grey White or Chalk Blue for a soft, calming backdrop. Use Pale Blush, Chalk Blue, or Dusky Seaspray for the Dusky Seaspray variant.

Lille

Lille is a beautiful pearlescent striped wallpaper to create a really sophisticated look in your home. This is the perfect choice for a living room wallpaper being subtle enough to be used throughout the room or as a standalone feature wall. It would work beautifully in alcoves either side of a fireplace and as its available in a number of colourways you’ll find it works with any colour scheme you’re aiming for!

Paint Pairing Tip: If you’re using Lille in Linen, pair it with Ivory, Linen, or Twine. For the Lille in White, pair it with Dove Grey White, Pale Dove Grey, or Dove Grey.

Tapestry

The tapestry floral wallpaper from Laura Ashley is from their timeless elegance collection and is another fantastic choice for a living room design. Printed with a natural weave effect background and designed to make the trailing flower design appear like hand stitched fabric. Bolder in its colourways this would provide a statement feature wall to your living room, pairing beautifully with more traditional furniture styles and darker wood accessories.

Paint Pairing Tip: If you’ve chosen the Dusky Seaspray Tapestry floral wallpaper, complement it with Dark Seaspray for a dramatic, cohesive space. For a more muted combination, try pairing it with Sage Leaf or go bold with Pale Cranberry. Pair the Tapestry floral wallpaper in Slate Grey with Powder Grey, Sage Leaf, or Pale Cranberry.

And now to the kitchen!

Ok so it's been really hard to find examples of these wallpapers in kitchen situations and even Laura Ashley haven’t staged them in a kitchen (I think it's a harder/more expensive one to stage so less common!) so you’ll have to just go along with me here and follow the vision!

Little Vines

The Laura Ashley Little Vines wallpaper is a small-scale print design of little leaves tumbling together. It's the perfect choice for a kitchen area as you don’t tend to get an awful lot of ‘large’ wall space due to kitchen cupboards and storage. In smaller areas a smaller scale design will work perfectly and avoid overpowering the space. The beautiful little vines wallpaper is from the Laura Ashley Country Charm collection and really does delivery rustic country vibes. Available in two colourways!

Paint Pairing Tip: Pair the Duck Egg Little Vines with Duck Egg for a crisp, clean look. Alternatively, use Cotton White or Midnight Seaspray for a cohesive look. Pair the Hedgerow Little Vines variant with Cotton White, Pale Hedgerow, or Fern.

Barley

Barley is another beautiful wallpaper from the Laura Ashley Country Charm collection and features an all over leaf and berry print. This beautiful design feels very natural and earthy so I think it would be the perfect addition to a kitchen! Once again the pattern isn’t too large so it would work in an area where you don’t have large wall space and its available in beautiful colour options!

Paint Pairing Tip: Pair the Barley in Natural with Dove Grey White to enhance the natural, rustic feel, or pair it with Pale Twine or Natural. Pair the Dusky Seaspray Barley variant with Seaspray White, Pale Seaspray, or Dusky Seaspray.

Magnolia Grove

I know I’ve already spoken about the Magnolia Grove wallpaper however it really is such a versatile design that would lend itself to any room setting. Again, due to the stunning colour options it would definitely work in a kitchen area where you have some larger wall space to cover!

Paint Pairing Tip: In the kitchen, try pairing the Natural Magnolia Grove wallpaper with Natural or Hedgerow paint to add warmth, or opt for Pearl for a clean, fresh look.
